Welcome to My New Chapter 🌺

Hi Reader,

If you're new here, welcome! And for my long-timers, it's been a minute and I'm so grateful to be in our right-brain community together.

A lot has changed for me in the last year since I've sent a newsletter (AND a whole heck of a lot has changed in the world, too, even more in the last handful of months, especially here in the US 😳😵‍💫!). I hope that, no matter where you are, that you’re staying grounded and resourced even amidst all the chaos so that you can keep sharing your gifts and making a positive difference 💕.

As for me, (and related to staying grounded and resourced) the BIGGEST and probably most exciting change is that I'm now officially offering somatic trauma recovery coaching centering BIPOC creatives, empaths and activists and.... I have a new website 🎉 jenniferayakolee.com!

I had a blast at my photo shoot celebrating my new life here in Hawaiʻi and my new work that's aligned with who I am now and how I can best be of service during these times we're in.

This new direction probably won't come as a surprise to folks who've been with me for some time as I've been in a gradual process of deep healing, reclamation and transformation these past several years addressing my own traumas (racial, intergenerational, attachment and more!).

While I've spent most of my 22+ year coaching career helping creative entrepreneurs grow their businesses, I'm excited to shift my focus to both address the root of what's really getting in the way of folks living their most authentic, fulfilled and liberated life and to intentionally contribute to a more just and equitable society (with the death of DEI we need this work more than ever!).

My new offerings, which incorporate modalities such as Somatic Experiencing, trauma recovery coaching, internal parts work and more, help marginalized folks to heal from their trauma and shed their adaptive survival strategies (like assimilation, perfectionism, over-achieving, procrastination, people pleasing, staying small, etc.) that are no longer serving them. BTW, I plan to write more about survival strategies and the nervous system in the future, so stay tuned and make sure to sign up for my new Somatic Coaching Newsletter below 💌👇🏽👇🏽.

📌 Important Left-Brain Deets: New Email Address

The Right-Brain Business Plan is part of my legacy work, so I'll still sporadically send messages to this Creative Biz/Life list here when I have updates about The Right-Brain Business Plan, resources to share or special sales on my products (in fact, stay tuned for a sale in July!).

Those emails will come from a new email address hello@rightbrainbusinessplan.com so ✅ please add that to your contacts or whitelist it ✅ and use that going forward. And hey, if you’d rather move on and unsubscribe below, I understand and wish you well.

📌 Please join my new Somatic Coaching Newsletter 💌

⭐️ If you're interested in learning more about embodiment practices, trauma healing and liberation so that you can navigate this increasingly stressful and divisive world, 💌 please CLICK HERE to automagically sign-up for my somatic coaching newsletter 💌 which will be sent from hello@jenniferayakolee.com (make sure to add to your contacts or whitelist that address).

There I'll be sharing resources and tools to help you cultivate more presence, ease, aliveness and self-trust so you can show up for yourself and others and keep on sharing your gifts even during these challenging times. I'll also include personal stories from my own healing journey to help you know you're not alone on the path.

While I'll be centering the experience of BIPOC folks in the somatic coaching newsletter, anyone can benefit from what I'll be writing about, especially those of you committed to collective liberation. We need all of us! ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏻

PLUS, when you sign-up you'll get an invitation to receive my complimentary curated Body Sensations list to help increase your somatic vocabulary and identify what you’re feeling in your body moment to moment. In the face of systems of oppression and racialized capitalism that aim to keep us disconnected from ourselves and each other, it’s a radical act to slow down, notice and be present to your felt experience so that you can access your innate wisdom and the wisdom all around us.

Wonder what it’s like doing somatic, trauma-informed coaching with me?

Check out what Singer/Songwriter Tsuki Raine had to say...

“I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have worked through my lingering performance anxiety with Jenn! After only four sessions, I felt more comfortable on stage and more confident in my artistry. I love how we were able to layer different somatic methods together to create a custom approach to my healing process.
As a queer person of color, I feel incredibly fortunate to have found someone I can trust to teach me this vital modality of healing.”

Do you identify as BIPOC and/or another marginalized identity and do you have a sense that something deeper is holding you back from the life you want to be living? Curious about somatics, trauma and tending the nervous system? I have a few spots open and offer tiered equity pricing. Find out more about how we can work together and book a Discovery Call if this work resonates.

Reader, thanks for being on this journey with me! Whether you've been with me for decades or you just signed up the other day, I'm grateful our paths have crossed.

I enjoy hearing from folks in my community, so please hit reply and let me know how you are and what you've been up to lately.

Wishing you much ease and joy!
